Our crews work steadily and quickly. They may take a 5-minute break every hour and possibly a break for lunch.
If the heat index is over 100-degrees, there may be precautions to make sure that the crew does not suffer
from heat exhaustion or dehydration.
Joanna's Movers is a local, family owned moving company with a 26' moving truck and hourly rates that are the equivalent of renting your own moving truck, acquiring insurance coverage and hiring our team to facilitate the labor without any 3rd party moving brokers. Direct bookings save you money. If your call is not answered the first time please leave us a message with your name and number and a brief message and Joanna or her husband Nathan will personally return your call.
Either path you choose is fine by us! We are able to purchase the packing and moving supplies and make them available the day your service is scheduled. We have everything set up to make this as simple as possible. However, if you prefer to purchase your own supplies our trained staff will be sure to put those items to use in the safest manner possible!
We supply the trained, nationally background checked labor and supervision (at least one manager on-site) to get your job done right. We have an independent service run these national background checks on every member of our team annually to ensure that we know whom we are sending to your home or office. If you have any questions about this please let Nathan or Joanna know when you speak to them.
We charge an hourly rate from the beginning of your service, which is when our crew arrives at the work site, unless we must travel 30-minutes or more to reach you. In this case we start charging billable time when our movers leave the office, to the time we leave your door and will never show up unannounced without a call to let you know that our team is on their way to your residence. Our services include the necessary tools of the trade to complete your relocation and specialty items should be declared ahead of time, such as pianos, safes, antiques, and artwork along with anything else that is over 300 pounds and/or a high-value item(s). You will receive an itemized invoice and payment, in full, is due at the time our work is complete.
We do accept major credit cards, but we add a 4% processing fee to your bill if you choose credit card payment, but we would be happy to accept a check without the fee.
We provide hourly estimates only because we cannot always predict obstacles to progress, traffic, the readiness of the contents, and the state of readiness at the destination or HOA rules and regulations requiring parking that results in "long carries."

Please note that we are movers that move, pack, unpack, load and unload, organize and arrange everything as desired. We can load and/or unload your rental truck/PODS for your own transport (Hybrid Moves).
We provide stellar services and our customers love how careful we are with their belongings, and courteous to both the origin and destination properties. We wrap all furniture with heavy blankets and secure them with plastic wrap carefully selected and unavailable in stores.
